CNY 2010

This year Chinese New Year falls on 14 February 2010, which also happened to be Valentine's Day..so no celebration for Valentine..we went visiting instead..

On CNY 1st day, we woke up early around 7am plus..me prepared to cook darling's porridge, then prepared our stuff, bathed her, and our own preparation..busy till 10am and we are set to go bai nai..

First visiting stop is at MIL place..then follow by hubby's 2nd uncle house, then his cousin's place..and last stop is my grandma house..love the visiting to my grandma house for the special n look-forward angbao draw, sponsored by my 2nd uncle yearly...haha...

CNY Day 2 - 15 February 2010

Sick

Jermaine had been coughing and having flu since last Thursday, 28 Jan 10..it started off with her feeling feverish on wednesday nite..we took her temperature several times in the nite, and it varied frm 37.6 t0 37.8 degrees..we decided to feed her paracetamol..next morning her fever was okay le..then she began to have flu n coughing..we fed her with the medication we had at home..

Friday and over the weekend, her flu n cough was like on and off..sometimes seem ok, sometime she cough quite badly..but she wasnt cranky and still in her usual playing mood..

Then came this morning, where she became very cranky early in the morning around 5am..dun want to sleep and in her crankiness behaviour..so me n hubby decided to bring her see PD, as her cough has developed into phelgmy cough..quite bad..better see PD..

Hubby went to queue up at The KidsClinic..we want to see Dr Allyson as we find her so much better in terms of patient care and more approachable than Dr Lilian..I reached Rivervale Mall with darling awhile later, around 10am..and our turn came pretty soon..Dr Allyson said our darling was breathing quite heavily, and she was wheezing..and after diagnosis, she confirmed our girl has bronchitis..haiz..and was given Singular..

One thing I hated when darling is sick is the feeding medicine part..To me, tat is a torture..cos our girl simply refused to take medicine..fed her with spoon failed, forced her via syringe, she will cry madly as if mummy is feeding her poison..I also become very impatient whenever she struggle..super sianz..but I still have to do it..then until I got so fed up, daddy decided we will just put the medicine into her milk and let her take it from there..but often, she cant finished the milk..well, we cant put too little milk cos she may still taste the medicine inside, so we got to make it to 150ml..even that sometimes she also cant finish..haiz..well, bo pian..just hope later on when she get bigger she can love it ba..People who their kids have no problem taking medicine will never and cant imagine hw is it like to be in my shoes..

Standing & Walking :)

Today marked the day where our darling can stand on her own..she has been holding onto walls, furnitures all these while when standing..today she can finally stand on her own liao..

I played with her this morning, getting her to stand on her own, and she did for a short while..then sat down..I praised her and clapped and smiled cos mummy is too happy..I guessed perhaps she saw my expression and to her is a form of encouragement..thereafter, she tried standing again..and this time longer duration..woo...happi me..

Next I tried to shift my sitting position backward and tried to get her to walk over to reach me..surprisingly she did it too..initially started with 2 steps..then I tried moving further away from her, and she walked more steps..though not exactly steady, but its definitely a good start..jiayou Jermaine..daddy & mummy so proud of you..

Some Updates..

Paiseh everyone..didnt really have time to blog lately..had wanted to at times, but just feel lazy to do so..

Well, for a start, am happi that our photoshoot edited shots are ready..Reeve & Michell have upload the them in Facebook liao..have uploaded them here for those ppl who dun have FB to view :)

And yesterday, 23 Jan 10 (Sat) darling has taken her first 2 steps to walk on her own..it happened in the morning around 8.40am..I was in the kitchen preparing darling's porridge..and hubby was in the living room playing with darling when he spotted her walking 2 steps on her own..though its only 2 steps, but it definitely signifies such great importance and happiness in me n hubby..nothing joy us more than that..then after that, she dont want to walk liao..Zzzz...

Today in the evening, I tried getting darling to walk again, she on and off would walk 2 steps on her own..haha..and I tried walking around in our house while holding one of her hand, she can but abit shaky, not really that stable yet..while we will continue trying.. :)

We have given our super-single bed to hubby's brother le..cos we need to make space in darling's bedroom for 2 seahorse mattresses..darling currently is still sleeping every nite in her own bb cot..that maybe can last for another few months..afterwhich it maybe kind of dangerous for fear of darling climbling out of it..so then our next plan is for her to sleep on the seahorse mattresses on the floor till she is around 3yrs old ba..then we intend to get her a princess bedroom set..hee hee..

Happi New Year 2010 everyone

Today marked the first day of 2010..and we had our outdoor photo-shoot by Lil Etoile Photography..we chose Changi Airport T3 as the venue for our outdoor shoot..

Hmm, well we chose Changi Airport is because its linked in a way to how we can have darling as our precious daughter..cos at that time we were ttc-ing for months, and while we decided to let nature take its course and booked a holiday trip to vietnam, that's how I got preggie with darling..cos no stress and in super look-forward holiday trip mood that make us able to have darling is really god's gift to us..and indeed she's our precious minnie ^_^

Shooting time was at 2pm and we met up with Reeve & Michell & their 14mths old boy - Ashton direct at T3..Ashton is a cutie boy and can walk already..so I wonder when our darling can walk on her own??..she's 13mths old liao..just 1mth apart..well, many ppl told us not to worry and infact its better it better if they start walking later, meaning they will have a better & good life later on in their life...hmm, felt more relieved after hearing this from many ppl..so am just gonna let our darling take her own time to decide when she wana begin walking ba.. :)

Back to the photoshoot, darling initially wasnt very comfortable in the shooting, and she like kinda scared of the solid camera that Reeve was carrying around..haha..and she cried few times lor..faints..at that time I was like, "Oh darling, can don't cry and smile ma, dont waste mummy's $$ hor.."

Then later on, I started giving biscuit to Ashton, and to darling..and she started being her bubbly happi nature..clapping, smiling, mumm-ing action all surfaced liao..phew, me so happi lor..and Reeve kept saying "good, good..so cute etc"..so am really hoping all the photos taken today will all turn out well and nice..

After the photoshoot, we took a walk round T3 cos both me & hubby havent been there b4..very sua ku rite? but its really a very relax and wonderful kai kai day for us today..as we have never been T3 before, walking around in there is as good as visiting a totally new place, and it kinda gave us the feel of being on holiday..plus not too many ppl around..we enjoyed ourselves very much..

One commendable thing I noticed in T3 was there were many eating places around, especially my favourite kopi shop..got Wang's/Ya-kun/Killiney etc..Mmm, I dont like Ang Mo kopi, so I didnt include TCC/Coffee club etc..hee

And many beautiful SQ air-stewardesses & handsome SG air-stewards for us to see..shiok mann..while we were in a lift with few of them, one air-steward came and chatted with us..telling us he's married and has a 3yr old son..other air-stewardesses commented darling very cute..hee hee..made me so want to take SQ flight now..told hubby when we go HK in Nov/Dec, Im sure going to take SG flight mann..

And that gave me n hubby alot of time to take our pixz..haha..

Yeah..I wanna fly for holiday now...can I??

These 2 pix taken by my cheeky hubby..somemore after taking he laughed out loudly..原来 he said each time I feed gal gal her porridge, I will definitely open my mouth..hey, I seriously didnt know leh..so thanks to him for the pix, I see liao then I realised it..haha..so ugly sia..then hubby said its 自然反应..cos I want gal gal to open her mouth n eat, so I sub-conciouslly open my mouth oso..hee hee..me better note and close my mouth mann..

Hubby also said I feed darling too much porridge at 1 time..should give smaller spoonful..but gal gal no complaint so I tink okay lah..:)

Darling is soooo happi and laughing out loud cos her daddy bought her fridge magnets (animals)..her favourite cos daddy will tell her the names of our house fridge magnets, and she will always laugh and try to pronounce back..but not accurate lah..jiayou gal gal..

Just only, Reeve & Michell sms me and said they were looking through darling's photos taken today and they commented she was sooo adorable..and it made them very giam to have a bb gal liao..hee, so I told them to start trying for no. 2 and I will help pray for them its gonna be a gal for them :)..hope to hear good news from them soon ba..
